This project is a result of my master's thesis research.
The Anthropocene is a geological epoch in which human beings have affected most elements of the planet and it's the one we’re living in right now.
Climate scientists have found out that wind has been decreasing for some decades and will likely continue to do so in the future.
“The wind we’ll never meet, video”, investigates a wind measuring tool, ‘The Beaufort scale’, which was invented more than 200 years ago.
It questions how the scale would change now with the changing of the wind itself. This way, the scale becomes a tool to tell a story, a story about change and the consequences it could have. It shows a juxtaposition between something very technical like a wind measuring tool and how this translates to everyday life.
